Arabic learning

We've had a few Arabic lessons now with a tutor. We've now easily passed any understanding of the language that we picked up in the UK. Both of our heads are spinning with word endings. By changing the end of noun it changes who it belongs to. Lots of different endings to learn. The language is also rather confusing in that the colloquial language spoken here is never written down, and the written classical form is often not spoken, so you effectively have to learn two languages, a written and spoken classical form of the language, and an often quite different colloquial form. What fun.
