Went a morning trip to Wadi Mujib yesterday. It's one of Jordan's protected nature reserves. It's got lots of canyons, right next to the dead sea.
This is the road down from Amman to Wadi Mujib. That's the Dead Sea on your right, with Israel a few miles away across the water. The water level is dropping by 5m per year (that's even after it has several million tonnes of water pumped into each year, to try and stop it drying out.

As we go past the sign saying "Danger do not enter", Matt realises he no longer has the key! It's the only key they have for the car.

A bit wet after swimming under the waterfall. I'm still proud that I managed to get my camera up the canyon without drowning it.
An answer to prayer! This is where we found the car key, after only 10 minutes of searching, about 500m back from where we realised we'd lost it.

A fun morning out. The walk was only 2 hours in and out. There is a longer canyon that takes 6 hours to do, but you need to have a guide, since you have to abseil down into bit of it. I'm looking forward to that one another day.
